See the volume, fix the mask

The original scan and its segmentation mask are rendered together as true 3D volumes. You rotate, zoom, and slice into them, then correct the mask directly in 3D with an add/erase brush — no flat slice-by-slice scrubbing required. Every platform shares the same editing model and file pipeline; only the input changes.

Sculpt the mask in 3D with a spherical brush — erase away over-segmentation (yellow) or paint missing regions back in (orange). Adjustable brush size and paint depth.

Dual-volume rendering

Original / dilated scan in teal alongside the segmentation mask, composited by true depth so dense mask never flat-covers the tissue in front of it.

Slicer plane

A movable cross-section that cuts every volume — axis-aligned X/Y/Z, a free 6-DOF grabbed plane, or flipped — so you can reach interior structures. The brush always respects the cut.

Cut-out lens

Confine the view and the brush to a spherical lens, isolating a single region while you work without disturbing the rest of the mask.

2D slice editor

Drop into a classic 2D slice view to paint precise strokes on a single plane when a region needs pixel-level attention, then pop back to 3D.

Side-by-side compare

Split the scan and the mask apart with synchronized rotation and a mirrored ghost brush, to check the mask against the source at a glance.

Every stroke is a committed step you can walk back and forward through, so experimentation is always safe.

Fade layers with per-layer opacity, swap the original between standard and dilated volumes, and switch colormaps — single-pass merge or two-pass rendering.

The volume appears to float above the zSpace display in head-tracked stereo. The stylus is a direct 3D handle — grab to turn the volume, point to paint — with the mouse always available as a fallback.

A guided tour on the real volume

Every platform opens with an optional, self-paced tutorial that teaches one control at a time on the actual mask — only the control for the current step is active, so there's no way to get lost. When you finish, the practice is undone and the real session begins.
